School Travel and Road Safety
Our school takes our pupils health and safety very seriously. With this in mind, the school has an active group of parents, teachers, governors and local residents who form our Travel Planning Group (TPG). This group are responsible for travel and road safety issues associated with the school and they maintain a School Travel Plan.
The School Travel Plan is a working document which lays out the major issues faced by the school related to road safety. The plan also includes an action plan which describes the activities and initiatives that the TPG are focused on with a view to :
- Reducing the amount of traffic around the school during drop-off and pick-up times
- Finding alternative means of transport for our pupils in their journeys to school (getting our children"out of the car" wherever possible)
- Educating our pupils in road safety and general traffic awareness
- Reducing risk associated with the road systems that surround our school (such as reducing the speed of passing vehicles and so on).
The latest version of the school's travel plan can be downloaded from the link below :

In February, 2008 the Travel Planning Group started research to determine the viability of a school bus service running from the High Wycombe area to the school. If this project proves feasible, it could radically reduce the amount of parked cars around the school.
This report shows the outcome of our survey focused on looking at this possibility.
